Bronze conservation

In the heart of downtown Montreal, in the center of Square Philips, the monument to King Edward VII was erected in 1914. Installed on a granite pedestal, there are 5 monumental bronzes, including King Edward VII and 4 allegorical groups that evoke the vision and actions that marked the reign of Edward VII.

The major work planned at Square Philips encouraged the City of Montreal to take this opportunity to conserve the monument. DL HERITAGE was responsible for the conservation treatment of the 5 monumental bronzes. DL HERITAGE was responsible for the restoration treatment of the 5 monumental bronzes which included the decontamination of the bronzes, their removal, their conservation and their transport and installation.
