Situated in the Old Port of Montreal, the Youville Pumping Station was built in 1915 as part of the former wastewater network of the city. It was the first fully electrified wastewater pumping station in Montreal. The station has been in disuse since 1990 and has since been integrated into the Pointe-à-Callière Museum as an interpretive site for industrial heritage.
DL HERITAGE was charged with surface maintenance of the motors, pumps, and bridge crane, which had become heavily soiled and damaged over the course of the last few decades.
