The Chapel of the Holy Cross, more commonly known as the Chapel of the Grey Nuns, was built between 1874 and 1878 in the neo-roman style. The building was protected under Quebec heritage preservation laws in 1974, then acquired by Concordia University in 2007 and elegantly converted to a reading room. The spectacular appearance of the chapel comes from its stained-glass windows, its paintings, and the beautiful faux finish of its furnishings.

Every year, DL HERITAGE carries out maintenance on the chapel and the adjacent rooms. This maintenance work includes meticulous dust removal from the entire decor and preventive conservation of the faux finish, all of which helps to maintain the chapel in top condition and identify any future conservation needs.
