Allegrocube

Artist: Charles Daudelin

Year: 1973

Material: Bronze

Daudelin's Allegrocube is a kinetic sculpture consisting of two half-cubes with a mechanism allowing the sections to come together or separate. The Allegrocube is made from Muntz bronze, which gives it a resplendent golden patina in the sunlight.

To ensure the preservation of both this beautiful patina and the kinetic aspects of the sculpture, DL HERITAGE carries out maintenance on a regular basis on the surfaces and the mechanism of the sculpture. After this careful maintenance, the Allegrocube can shine as bright as any jewel in front of the Palais de Justice of Montreal!
