Memorial to the brave soldiers of Argenteuil who died in action during the First World War of 1914-1918. Resting on a granite pedestal, the bronze soldier was sculpted by artist George William Hill.
After treatment, the bronze is stabilized, the corrosion stopped and the surfaces protected against the effect of weather. The whole is visually much more harmonious. The natural dark green patina is highlighted and enhances the character's appearance. The joints of the base are renewed, stains are removed from the surfaces and the inscriptions have been retouched and protected. This will allow the public and the families concerned to pay tribute to the soldiers mentioned.
