Di-Octo II
Artist: Anthony Howe
Year: 2017
Materials: Stainless steel
Anthony Howe's Di-Octo II is a kinetic artwork located on the campus of Concordia University. The ingenious design of the artwork allows all the branches of the artwork to move simultaneously when gusts of wind pass through, creating hypnotizing optical effects.
Several times a year, the DL Heritage team braves snow, rain, heat, and wind to perform the rigorous maintenance required for the proper functioning of the Di-Octo II mechanism.
