Major conservation

This monumental backlit stained glass was inaugurated in 1969 when the Berri-UQAM metro station opened. This modern work represents three important historical figures for Montreal: Jérôme le Royer de la Dauversière; Jeanne Mance and Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve.

Before our intervention, the artwork was in critical condition, especially the acrylic painted section in the upper quarter. This is consolidated and retouched, then the entire work is cleaned and stabilized. Carried out at night in articulated boom lifts above the tracks, in the middle of a major construction site, this conservation was a challenge successfully met by the DL HERITAGE team.
