Jeanne d’Arc

Artist: André Vermare

Year: 1909

Materials: Cast iron, stone

This sculpture of Joan of Arc was created in 1909 and is located in front of the Union française de Montréal. Made of cast iron, it was painted so as to replicate the appearance of a bronze patina.

The powdery corrosion was removed and passivated, and the sculpture was painted a darker green to imitate the patina of the adjacent bronze sculpture, which was also treated by DL HERITAGE. Joan of Arc has regained all her pride.
